Milan Design Week 2021

Nowadays, the global warming and the pandemic are questioning the survival of the planet and mankind, evoking biblical and apocalyptic events. On the occasion of FuoriSalone 2021, "Survival", an installation designed by Stefano Giovannoni, is hosted in the Cortile d’Onore of Statale di Milano.

The setting reminds of an arc/raft on which some iconic Qeeboo’s products, that are a metaphor for the natural environment in the variety of its disparate morphologies, are loaded by mechanical elevators. This is a desperate attempt to save animal species and nature as a whole.

Providence entrusted Noah (the positive part of man) with the task of preserving the species so, after the flood, he became the progenitor of a reborn humanity: today the challenge is proposed again with a strong desire for recovery, to promote a true and proper rebirth of man and his relationship with nature.
